All Saints Church Wedding in Sheepy Magna & Mythe Barn Reception

MARY & GREIG

A Calm and Beautiful Morning at Mythe Barn

The day began in the bridal suite at Mythe Barn, a bright and calm space that’s perfect for getting ready. The natural light pouring through the large window made everything feel soft and peaceful — exactly the kind of start that sets the tone for the rest of the day. The suite leads out onto a balcony overlooking the main barn, which was a nice reminder of where the evening celebrations would unfold later on.

One of the standout moments from the morning was Mary’s parents seeing her in her dress for the first time. Their reaction was completely genuine — a proper jaw-drop moment, full of emotion. It was a lovely start to what turned out to be an incredible day.

A First Church Wedding I Won’t Forget

As a Leicester wedding photographer, this was my first time shooting a proper church wedding, and it took me by surprise in the best way. The organ music, the bells, and the sheer scale of All Saints Church in Sheepy Magna made the ceremony feel powerful and full of emotion. The organ player filled the entire space — you could feel the music through your body as it echoed around the church. When Mary walked down the aisle, I genuinely felt goosebumps. The sweeping arches and long rows of windows created the perfect backdrop, with soft, atmospheric light giving everything a cinematic feel.

A Big Celebration at Mythe Barn

After the ceremony, everyone headed back to Mythe Barn for the evening celebrations. As a Leicestershire wedding photographer, it’s genuinely one of my favourite venues — the grounds are perfect for portraits, the light is always flattering, and the staff go above and beyond. They even handed me a much-needed Coke once the legs started to feel it, which I appreciated more than I can explain.

The speeches were full of laughs, the food was spot on, and then Apollo Music took over and absolutely smashed the evening set. The dance floor stayed packed from the moment they started. And of course, the evening pizza was exactly what everyone needed — no complaints there.

Relaxed and Natural Wedding Portraits

When it came to portraits, Mary and Greig made it easy. They’re not the kind of couple who go for stiff, overly posed shots, so I kept everything relaxed and simple. A few classic poses, nothing dramatic, just enough to guide them without taking away their natural connection. The best photos came from the moments in between — a quick laugh, a glance at each other, small movements that felt genuine. It kept the portraits feeling intimate but still very “them.”
