Wow, just wow. I find it hard to put into words how special James and Abi’s wedding at The Priests House was. As a wedding photographer, I’m lucky to witness many beautiful days—but this one, set in the heart of the North Yorkshire Dales, was something truly unforgettable.
Nestled beside the atmospheric ruins of Barden Tower, a Grade I listed site rich in history, The Priests House is one of the most unique and historic wedding venues in Yorkshire. From the moment guests arrived and were seated in the Old Chapel, serenaded by a classical choir (with James and his friends and family singing beautifully), there was a quiet magic in the air. The emotion was palpable—the kind that raises goosebumps and makes you feel part of something bigger.
After the heartfelt ceremony, James and Abi took a scenic ride around the estate in a traditional horse and cart—an absolute dream to photograph. The backdrop of rolling hills, historic stonework, and wild Yorkshire beauty gave us some breathtaking photo opportunities.
