A Beautiful Orleans House Gallery Wedding - Twickenham
Katie & Adam
A quick note: This wedding was photographed a few years ago and reflects my previous edit style. My work today is a little softer and more refined, but I still love the story from this day.
“Tom did a fantastic job of capturing the meaningful moments and character of our wedding and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for beautiful photographs that tell the story of your day with a lot of empathy. He really took the time to get to know us and what style we were looking for, including visiting the venues beforehand and keeping in touch in the lead up to the day. At the wedding itself, he made us both feel totally at ease, had all the best locations figured out, and guests kept saying how lovely he was! It means so much to be able to look back on the special images he has created for us.”
Katie and Adams wedding at Orleans House Gallery was one of those beautifully understated days that stay with you. With Covid restrictions still in place, the ceremony felt even more meaningful — just their closest loved ones, the soft hum of anticipation and the most gorgeous natural light spilling through the windows of the Octagon Room. It’s a photographer’s dream in there: clean lines, elegant architecture and light that wraps around people in the kindest way.
After the ceremony we wandered the grounds together, taking our time to capture some relaxed portraits amongst the trees and gardens. Katie and Dean were so easy and warm — the kind of couple who instantly make you feel like an old friend. We finished the afternoon with a walk down by the Thames, where the river, the space and the quiet made the perfect backdrop for some simple, honest moments between the two of them. A small wedding, but full of heart.
